Check out my equipment in my signature. I was told with equipment like that i should atleast be in the 140s. I was thinking of building a new box. But not sure if i should tune it a little higher or lower? I would love to hit the low bass better, so therefore i should tune lower, but will that make dbs go up?

Man, that openin is tiny....looks like ur sealing off the trunk from the cabin.

You could try flippin it around to fire in the cabin, may help a bit

in that pic is shows an us xt amp. not the merlin series you have in your sig. did you switch since then? if not if that is the xt2000d your only running around 600 watts. that could pose a problem.

its cool. im short on wiring, so i cant turn it to face the inside, i did have it that way on my old box though

if you want to go louder try tuning a little higher not lower

True... had that on mind. But like i stated earlier, i would like to hit the lows better. Possible to tune a little lower, and hit higher than 136?

whats the maximum recomended enclosure size for your subs? you could always try to go bigger with the box and lower with the tuning?

True. Id like to go with the lows, 4 cu.ft at 30hz sound like it'll hit lows well? any recomended tune with my equip.?

I've played around with several different boxes for the xxx15. i did a 140.1db sealed on the dash with the xxx15, mtx1501d, 2 red tops, stock 100amp alty and dual 4awg. Box was like 4 or 5 cubs tune high to like 40 ish hz and in a ghetto *** install in my early years.

imho opinion you should get a real decent 15in spl sub, build a really really solid box for it tuned around 32-34hz and you will find that perfect blend clean bass playing the highs and lows with authority. My btl plays the higher up notes very well and still does down to 30Hz reallllly well. Anything under 30hz you're not typically gonna be worried about unless you listen to chopped n screwed stuff constantly.
