You are disingenuous.
One, that was not an attempt by me to say that the CPI has been faked for 10 years to make Trump look bad. Issues with CPI are common knowledge and generally acknowledged by both sides. You have been involved in numerous conversations with me regarding inflation and certainly didn't think "they faked 10 years of data to make Biden look bad" when I defended Biden on inflation.
You used it as an excuse for Trump's failings. The word "fake" has a very specific meaning.
If you didn't mean to use it in your defense, then you shouldn't have.
Never once have I claimed the CPI data is fake.
"Fake news" and "fake data" seems to be your and ThxOne's fallback defense of the Diapered One.
Two, the quote that you took completely out of context was from our (and iirc slapper's) conversation regarding grocery inflation. In that conversation, you were able to demonstrate "normal" grocery inflation in your area, which I acknowledged. Which leaves us with reality that some people, like Old Slapper & I, watched our grocery bills painfully double, but that experience wasn't necessarily universal.
You claimed your grocery bills "doubled" by citing your ten dollar diet cokes, but failed to prove the claims, ever. And, you failed to mention that the Diet Coke price increase you saw was due to buying in lower quantities for health reasons.
Yet, I ponied up a full older grocery order, and then showed what the prices of those same items, in the same sizes, from the same store (with a market size of about 275,000 people), had become.
The prices were not doubled, and in fact had gone up about 3%. While you were claiming your grocery prices had DOUBLED int he same time frame.
"DISINGENUOUS"? Seriously? I prove a 3% increase in prices while you claim DOUBLE, with no proof.
At the time of your "ten dollar" Diet Coke that had "doubled" in price, it was on sale for $8.98 for a twelve pack at WalMart.
In May 2019 at KingSoopers, it was $6.49, but you had to use their card to get that price.
Now, you've chosen to take a tiny snippet of that conversation to completely mischaracterize me and my position and indulge in your delusions and illusions of grandeur. Great job.
If you don't mean the words you type, then type different words.
Defending Trump by saying the CPI has been "faked" is as stupid as ThxOne claiming that red states are mislabeled as red states, in order to make the right look bad (said states taking more federal welfare than they pay in federal taxes).
Or his excuse that the state finance laws in NY were changed by the Democrats 14 years ago, so they could convict Trump a year ago..3
Or his excuse, when proof is given, that it is "AI generated" or "Photoshopped".
