I wonder how many posts would disappear without our resident troll. The post count is around 23.5K I believe at this point. Is he trolling or a foreign bot AI tasked with just misdirective/contrary conclusions? Inquiring minds would like to know.

I miss my XJ. I had a '98 and by then Mopar was cranking out ~220hp out of the 4.0 straight 6. The XJ has to be one of the longest running vehicles - 20 years.

I do believe they are rated at 170hp to the crank but Rob is a crank and wheel hp is what matters. 15% drive train loss and you see the real numbers. A supposed 170hp car is putting down like 144hp in reality.

The 4.0L was engineered to be a diesel. Strong as hell and they made it a gas engine. That was swell.
