The difference is communism is an ideology. Murderers, arsonist, etc have committed crimes. Hatred of communism is more akin to antisemitism.

But they are "groups of humans". Thxone has tried to make a dislike of Communists a bad thing ("Bigotry" in his eyes) by intimating that Communists are "groups of humans", and therefore they should not be disliked.

Crime can be an ideology, depending on motivation. Plenty of criminals do so in the name of a religion. Ideological.

Of course I know that he is doing what he always does (doubling down when he is already wrong and refuses to admit it), but it makes for spirited debate. And laughs when he freaks out because he's painted himself into a corner.

No, stop that Rob. It's not "in my eyes" it's by the actual definition of the word bigotry. Don't try to claim I am using the actual definition of the word because I am a bigot. I am using it literally and correctly. Are there things I am bigoted towards, absolutely. Bigot is not a bad word in and of itself. It describes something. It's when people act on their bigotry that it becomes a problem.

Example - You are bigoted towards Donald Trump.
I am not insulting you, I am stating a fact.

That's awful. I have a buddy who had a cabin on the Columbia River and when Covid hit he was pissed. He spent all this money on his cabin and all these homeless people just moved in and were living on the Columbia for free.

Anti-Communism perfectly fits the definition of bigotry. So does Trump Derangement Syndrome. It's just people like to call other's bigots, racists, fascists, etc when it suits them and ignore that they participate in the same behaviors.
