Current events discussion

I have a few people that work in the bill department and other areas of the hospital. There are a lot of surgeries that we are paying for that are pretty sketchy.

As for a **** job after mastectomy, I'm okay with that. That could ruin a woman's confidence. It's like losing a limb and not being covered to get an artificial limb.
From what I see most of the billing systems don't work properly and bills just get missed or the insurance company is billed improperly and then the bill just falls thru the crack. And since Healthcare is so profitable (in some hospitals) the bills just get forgotten or go into the black hole of medical collections.

It's funny we're talking about this. I just received my pay stub and it has the deduction for my medical. My medical has gone up $300 a month. after taxes, my check is $110 lower than my last. There goes my cost of living raise I was waiting for. That darn near sucks it all up.

A close buddy of mine, who is an illegal, had a baby who was in the hospital for over a month. The baby was sent home with a prescription for name brand meds, diapers, formula, and bottles. That means, they didn't have to pay for any of those things for over a year. We, the taxpayers and medical insurance payers, got to pay for it all. He told me how the system works, and he and his wife have it made pretty good. He works and gets paid "under the table." the gov'ment pays for their home, food, utilities, and other essentials.

Anyhow, these extra medical costs are also huge reason for our insurance going up. I also add the cost of meds, hospital fees, and their overhead costs.
Not to mention the fact that we turn a blind eye.

Here's what should be illegal: Medicare paying $110 for a box of blood test strips that can be bought on Amazon for $10.

Literally IDENTICAL box.

Government agencies paying $25 for a coat hook that can be bought at WalMart for $5.
Government agencies pulling remote workers back into an office environment so that the local Subway can stay in business.
Subsidizing farmers who make something we can't live without, while Starbucks increases profits 10% or more per year.

Trump being Trump (an idiot).

That's the problem with gov't, we are either incapable or unwilling to control costs, do things properly, etc. California has spent billions on homelessness and the problem keeps getting worse. Colorado is doing the same. I think education should be socialized, but education in this country is a joke and the gov't deserves a huge slice of that blame, so we can't trust the entity that we should trust with educating our children.

I have been to the other sites. The thing that attracted me to the other sites is the way they are set up. This site looks too confusing when trying to find answers or topics. DIYMobileAudio, Car Audio Junkies, Car Audio Forumz, and many other non-car audio related sites, look more organized. On their home page, all the top reasons people visit these sites have quick tabs for those reasons/topics. Instead of only having the top discussion pop up on the home page, what if you added tabs?

Tabs that read:
  1. Subwoofer Recommendations
  2. Subwoofer Box Recommendations
  3. Amplifier Recommendations
  4. Head Unit Recommendations
  5. Speaker Recommendations
  6. Install Tips and Questions
  7. Troubleshooting
  8. Custom Builds
  9. Motorcycles Audio
  10. ATV Audio
  11. Boat Audio
  12. ETC...
Many people don't have time or the patience to jump around and try to use the search function, that are always crappy. Quick, easy, and to the point is what's nice. It just looks more organized. Also, having people like Mitchell can be really discouraging.

To be honest, I only return to this discussion room because car audio is not a topic that can be discussed every day for very long. So, I come here to discuss other topics that I can't do anywhere else.
Can you please explain what you mean by tabs? Do you mean having forums that read “Subwoofer Recommendations”, “Subwoofer Box Recommendations”, “Amplifier Recommendations”, etc? I had tried to cut down on forums, to make it a bit simpler to go to the correct general topic you were wanting and maybe eliminate some confusion. Also, some forums I either merged with others, or cut out, hadn’t received a post in months or years. The way I say it, the less confusing about where to post, the better. I suppose taking a more general, less cluttered approach.
