First sentence on the site states it IS suplemental and SS administers it.

"SSI stands for Supplemental Security Income. Social Security administers this program." Link to factual proof.

That was never in contention.

Slapper has been incorrectly stating that SSI is FUNDED through Social Security which is false. Don't go down the rabbit hole of defending a dunce who doesn't know what they are talking about.

And they would do this, WHY?

All sorts of ways to make it happen. It could be collected at the time of the sale just like retailers in Colorado collect the sales tax for the State and then pay it to the state. I know it's impossible for you to see anything but impending doom and disaster since Trump is behind this. You are aware we have been collected tariffs from China under both the Trump and Biden administration, so I'm sure they can make it happen.
