One of us knows what a budget is. The other one didn't know that the federal budget had to be approved by congress.

Yes, I know what a budget is. I don't see why that's relevant to the fact that you apparently do not. Or at least, don't know what the federal budget is or how it works.

A budget doesn't mean anything was "approved". A budget is an estimate of income and expenditure for a set period of time. - Taken right form the dictionary.

....right before taking a premature victory lap over looking up a definition online.

Budgets do not provide a line item for every single possible thing that could be purchased.
You think Congress wants to spend time reapproving a budget because a supplier can no longer provide ballpoint pen item #125-4962-71, and instead has ballpoint pen item #125-7349-22?

I sure hope not.

Then why bring up something other than a Federal Budget in a discussion about Federal Budgets?

Because you have shown often that you will use the same word in multiple ways to support your narrative. I am letting you know that a Budget and a Federal Budget are not the same thing and are not interchangeable. That is why.

I can assure you no one here thought the discussion was about how much your household gets from your "injury" payout, or how much your monthly electric bill is.
