Because Rob can't shut up. These are typically accepted as true or fact. Unless you are RobGMN who plays his ultra low bass on his Infrasonic Loudspeakers

Sub Bass - 40hz and below
Bass - 40 -80hz
Mid-bass - 80 - 180hz
High bass/low mids - 180 -400hz
Maybe likes to drive around listening to subsonic whale p0rn

Look, subsonic used in a sentence relevant to audio. From a dictionary web site!!!!

"With a frequency range starting at a subsonic 4Hz and extending to a bat-squeaking 96kHz, these headphones have a tonality enhanced with high-frequency sparkle but with a comfortable sound signature."
Uhmmm, Forbes is not a dictionary web site, and neither Meze nor Mark Sparrow are dictionaries.
Next time, at least TRY to make your lies seem believable.

Call me a liar again.

Mmmm hmmm. Moved back in with mommy and daddy, into "your" house.
Lol. Is granny there too? Pappy Yokum? Hahahaha
Hang on... let me go hug my mom. Aweeee She said she loves me.
Sorry, but another of your failed attempts at wordplay.
subsonic means below the speed of sound. That's it. No "also" about it.
Not when relating to car audio. Sub is a prefix meaning literally - under, beneath, below. Sonic means literally -
having a frequency within the audibility range of the human ear
Subsonic when related to sound in this matter means sound below human hearing.

Seriously, grab a spoon and eat some shit Rob. I am tired of you thinking it is wrong unless used the way you use it.
Why would I focus on a meaning NOT relevant to the conversation? Aren't YOU the guy who tried to say "wheelhouse" meant part of a ship or boat when using the phrase "in your wheelhouse"? Aren't YOU the guy who tried to say that "in" does not mean "enclosed or surrounded by something else"?
You tell me why you are focusing on speed of sound instead of sound relating to car audio. Nobody was speaking about aircraft until your ego got bruised.
Nope. "Subsonic" does not mean "not able to hear". Never did. Never will.
BELOW HUMAN HEARING MEANS YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO HEAR IT.
"Subsonic" describes something moving slower than the speed of sound. It has nothing to do with frequency, volume in decibels, or whether something is audible or not. Never did, never will.
YOU ARE 100% WRONG!!!!
Sound cannot be faster the speed of sound. It cannot be slower than the speed of sound. Sound travels AT the speed of sound. Period.
Nobody is speaking about how fast sound is Rob you stupid ****.
You fucked up. Again.
Own it.
Flip that right around. You need to own that **** up.
Run to a soundoff and tell all the people their about your "INFRA sub". They'll treat you like the mentally challenged kid licking the windows on the short bus.

So you can just claim they are Photoshopped, like you did with the pic of my projection screen setup?
That would be a waste of time.

Tell me all about the speed of sound with relation to the frequncy range your sub/s can reproduce.
Explain how you adjust your multichannel mono amp that is bridged internally to account for the speed of sound and "subsonic" sound.
God damn you are ******* dumb. YOU are the one who brought up infrasonic. Not me. Do you need me to copy and paste from exactly when and where you typed it?? Huh? Dummy... do I??
This ought to be good.

Explain the relevance of "subsonic" when talking car subwoofers.
Tell me how you set you subwoofer/s for "subsonic" use.
As soon as they begin reproducing frequencies below human hearing (Around 20hz and below) they are producing subsonic sound. You know, that ******* bass you can't hear but can shake your Grannys house!! Moron.
Or, and hear me out on this, admit you fucked up again. Own it.
Poop, spoon, scoop it up and take a giant bite.
Tell me how you set your subwoofer/s up for "subsonic" use.
Where are the pictures of your alleged car audio gear with screen name and date? Liar.

A lot of words without providing the proof, facts, evidence.

So "just stop" flapping your virtual gums, and provide some proof, facts, evidence. Beliefs, feelings, opinions, don't mean squat to me as proof of anything.

And again, you're simply full of crap about your "friends" who were employed under a USAID appropriation, and are happy to lose their jobs.
Stupidest thing I've heard in a long time.

Oh, and it's kind of funny how before, ThxOne was answering on your behalf. Now, you are answering on his behalf.
Blah, blah, blah... "show me proof... you never showed me proof..."

Rob,
That is your way of saying "I can't argue against the proof you showed, so I am going to act like I never saw it." You defend USAID and you have no idea where the money is going. If a democrat did this, you would be all for it. You say I'm full of crap and I'm a liar even after I say Trump has faults and I pointed them out. You can't even do that with Biden or even Newsom, who shut down California but still went out and partied with his friends. That's pretty pathetic.

You're toast, dude! You have no dignity for yourself. You just spew whatever your leaders tell you to spew. Even after they were proven wrong.

You were all ******* on Musk's beans when he was supporting the dems. Now you'll hate him because he called out your dem leaders. Boo Hoo... keep crying about it because you have 4 years left.

OK. You're a liar. It says right there that it's compiled from the web and references the Forbes article, quoting a portion of it, verbatim.
It's not a dictionary definition of subsonic. It's an advertorial.
Hang on... let me go hug my mom. Aweeee She said she loves me.
Cherish the moment. They don't last forever..

Incorrect. Subsonic means below the speed of sound.
"Sonic" is relating to sound waves, whether they are AUDIBLE or not.
Combining "sub" and "sonic" does create "below human hearing".
"Subsonic" is a reference to the speed of sound, not the audibility of sound.

Subsonic means slower than the speed of sound.
YOU stated that subs create sound that is slower than the speed of sound. "Do you have a subwoofer? It is used to reproduce subsonic frequencies of sound."
I want to know how this is done.

BELOW HUMAN HEARING MEANS YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO HEAR IT.

Double down. triple down, quadruple down. Doesn't matter. The definition is what it is.

No, they are not. At around 20Hz or below, they are reproducing inaudible, infrasonic frequencies.
Subsonic is below the speed of sound. ANY sound moves at the speed of sound. Sound cannot be slower or faster than the speed of sound. It's just not possible.

My home subs are tunes flat to 20Hz, and only 5dB down at 15 Hz. I'm familiar with infrasonic frequencies.

Poop, spoon, scoop it up and take a giant bite.

Not worth the effort for you to just claim they are Photoshopped.

Still waiting for that text from your extensive study of anatomy in the whopping 20 pages of your textbook that covers human anatomy. The text that says bones do not have nerves in them. Just copy and paste.

Still waiting for the schematic for your mono Rockford amp that shows multiple outputs off of the mono circuit.

Oh? I'm STILL waiting for you to provide the following data from your "fire chief" or "mayor" friends:

How many water tower/tanks in the are of the Cali. fires?
What volume in GPM do the pumps feeding those towers provide?
How many 2" fire hoses were running at the time they lost water pressure to hydrants?
How much water was in the reservoir feeding the towers?
Which reservoir/s are we talking about?

That's a weird ramble about USAID, Musk, Trump, Biden, Newsom. Happy Hour ramblings?
You were all ******* on Musk's beans when he was supporting the dems. Now you'll hate him because he called out your dem leaders. Boo Hoo... keep crying about it because you have 4 years left.
I've never said a positive word about Musk. But you think it's bad that someone may change their mind about a person based on that person's behavior?
So, Trump should still be referencing Epstein as his best buddy, and a great guy?
Interesting.

Also interesting: You choose to use the phrase "bridged internally" to (probably incorrectly) describe inputs on an amplifier, just like ThxOne used it to (incorrectly) describe the "multiple outputs" on his mono Rockford amp.

And you answer questions asked directly of him, and he answers questions directly asked of you.

You guys share notes and work together to put shitty posts up on the site?

You were all ******* on Musk's beans when he was supporting the dems. Now you'll hate him because he called out your dem leaders. Boo Hoo... keep crying about it because you have 4 years left.
Musk sure lost favor with the Dems when he bought Twitter and turned it into a free speech platform. And cutting gov't spending has never been their thing.

I pulled the information from the Merriam Websters dictionary web site. You called me a liar. Below is the exact copied and pasted post I made. I made no other claims you smelly ****.

I have said this like 4 times. It has other meanings!!!
Again, explain how you set up your sub/s and amplifier to create sound that is slower or faster than the speed of sound.
Again... you are trying to argue a point that only you were talking about. I never made this claim. But you are stupid so off you go.
Subsonic means slower than the speed of sound.
YOU stated that subs create sound that is slower than the speed of sound. "Do you have a subwoofer? It is used to reproduce subsonic frequencies of sound."

Now you will ignore anything that gets posted and you will claim nothing gets posted and will repeat the same dumb shit for 10 ******* pages. You won't post the pictures of the gear you claim you have, why, because you lied and you will just keep on posting calling people liars.

"Subsonic bass is a low-frequency range of sound that's below 60 Hz and is felt more than heard. It's also known as sub-bass."
