Polluting Residentials
I have heard that tones will draw more current opposed to music...Is there any truth to this?.....
I am gonna try and burp a DSC 1500.1 at 2ohm on 40a of fusing to a single 12. Im trying to figure out which way I should approach this. I am thinking i might see like a .5db-1 db gain on a tone, but if tones DO draw more current, I am wondering if that marginal gain is worth potentially blowing the fuse before I even get a solid burp...An alternative is running my Treo amp that is fused at 40a and assuring me a pretty solid burp. The thing with that is that I think I can pull 450rms out of my Treo amp. The DSC is obviously capable of a fair amount more at 2ohm. Another aspect is that with gains set fairly low on the mbq, there is no AUDIBLE difference between the 2 amps. (It would possibly show up on the meter tho)...so those with competing experience, what would you do? Sub is a Treo TSX12 in 1.63cu @35hz..Amps in question are mbq dsc1500 and treo tsx75.2. Currently have 4ga memphis power wire with 150a fuse at batt
