oh ok so theres number of thinks that could do this wow i did not know that i thought it was just with power wire well i guess its a good thing i asked

i've seen cases where a long ground caused a greater whine

Likely due to the larger difference in potential due to the higher resistance of the long ground cable.

And that's the problem //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Many people just assume that since the power wire & RCA were close to each other....and separating them stopped the problem, then it must have been the relationship between the RCA's and power wire

Vast majority of alt whine in vehicles is improper grounding either for the headunit or amplifier.

But yes, noise within a vehicle is FAR more complex than just the power wire and RCA's.
