CT Sounds 900.1 VS Precision Power BK1300.1D

Anybody have any experience with the CT sounds and PPI BK amps?

If you could choose between the two which would you pick?

Are they around the same price? Id honestly say the ct is probably built better

The CT is more expensive by a good bit I think, but puts out more than rated. The ppi bk amps are definitely good, and cost less. I like the CT.

They will put out similiar power but the ct is definitely built better. But my opinion is that if you are just going to be running at 1 ohm and not really pushing the amp hard, I don't see much of an advantage in paying the extra for the ct. The bk amps are very solid and probably the best amps in their price and power point. I personally would save my money and get the bk amp

Thanks for the input so far guys, How is the BK on electrical? For the time being I have Stock 150 amp alt, 4 gauge Fosgate OFC wire and a Deka Battery.. No big 3 yet but will be adding soon.. will I need to upgrade wire or anything?

I ran a CT Sounds 900.1 and also ran a Precision Power BK 1300.1 long before I even knew about CT

The 900.1 seemed more efficient (less voltage drop) and also was louder to ear.

Played full tilt for a 45min drive and it was cool to the touch. Did the same when I had my 1300.1 and it was a bit warmer

If you can get over the price tag, then I would go with the 900.1. The voltage meter and clipping indicator on the knob are also a plus

Rated for 900 watts at 1 ohm 12.8v.

puts out around 1200 at 14.4v

and I ran both amps on 4 gauge CCA and never really had a problem. The 4 gauge ofc will be fine but I suggest running 0 gauge and using 4 gauge reducers so when you get that sudden urge to upgrade, it's one less step that you have to worry about

I have the BK1800.1D and love it. For the price they are great amps and I have a stock 115amp alt with big 3, a extra HC800 in the back, and 2g wire. At full tilt my voltage does not go under 13v if that helps you any

How about there 2 channel or 4 channel offerings If one wanted matching amps for front stage? will one be cleaner than the other or will there be no audible difference in sound?

tons of headroom for an amazing price

The CT Sounds 125.4 is nice aswell though

Both are very nice.. Can't go wrong either way, the ct sound is a bit better quality if you don't mind spending the xtra $$$.

While I admit the ct looks pretty bad a$$ it may be more of a pain to track down vs. the PPI too so I may go that route.
