Lots of work got done since the new year.. although it'll slow since I'm going back to work.

Staple rabbet for back:

Grooves done on amp panel:

Glue ventilation (sucks have to get inside a box to use spray glue):

Taped up for a little bondo:

All foamed up:

Only vinyl I could find locally that would match my interior. But it also wound up being the cheapest, at $5 a yard and 40% off.

These are my first venture into vinyl stretching. I think they've turned out pretty good (so far). I'm not sure about the cutouts though... Hopefully I can get it to stretch enough with the heat gun. This stuff isn't even 2-way.

These also came in today. They'll be replacing my mids from ed components. Hopefully they'll sound okay with the x-over.

Best thing is that I can use the trim ring from the ed mids. I can't use the ID grills since they block my window things.

Holy ****ing shit. For a first vinyl job, this turned out awesome. I'm still working on the amp panel, which is posing a much larger problem, but I think it'll still look presentable. If not, I can just restretch it.

The trim panel was much easier, with the large radii.

The only ****up that annoys me:

And it kind of took on a orange peelish look from the underlining fabric:

Well the amp panel didn't work out. The 90* corners for the windows were just too much for the fabric to handle. So now I'll be remaking the amp panel with radius(ed?) corners to make an easier stretch job. What a *****.
