I got a new car a few weeks ago and the factory speakers need to go. I won't be getting subs or anything like that. I just want some good sounding speakers and I've never had comps, so I thought I'd give them a whirl. I plan on putting them in the stock locations in the doors for now, but I might consider kicks sometime down the road. I've been browsing a bunch of forums and looking online and locally for about a week. At first I was interested in Rainbow Soundline, CDT-hd or classics, Diamond hex, Oz Matrix, Boston Pro, focal pk, a/d/s and a few others in the $250-$350 range online or ebay. The only ones I've been able to listen to locally are Oz, Hex and some Mb's. I thought the Oz was the best of the bunch. Then I came across the crystals and was wondering how these would compare to the others I've mentioned? I could get these, plus some of their 6x9's for about $250 total. Is the $100-$200 price difference in the comps justified? I mostly listen to rock/metal. Stuff like tool, rage, chains, deftones etc. Also, how are Cadence and Crossfire amps? Their 100x2 and 150x2 amps seemed to be reasonably priced. This would be plenty of power for any of these comps, right? I really don't knoe too much about car audio, a little, not alot.

THANKS for any help.
