my worry right now is that I wont get paid back for this money im spending on this semester of classes and books. The appeal process for my GI bill is still ongoing and I had to kick out $1000 yesterday for classes and books, and have to pay another ~700 next week. And Im not sure if Im getting a GI bill check at the end of the month. They already didnt send my VA check, which they claim they sent. So I might be out more money. I know they arent going to give it all back to me, im sure of this. Thats life though.

No, they are hiring here. I will probably be promoted before the end of the year. I just can't conceieve how 3 million people can lose their job and it not effect federal jobs.
Isnt that why that why they say govt jobs are the most secure? The government keeps things movin while other companies fail. While I dont know HOW that is, it just seems to make sense.

I probably know people who may or may have died. I have no idea. When I entered college, I made a cognizant choice that the people I hung out in high school with the exception of one person were all dead. I have no idea if they are dead, alive, in jail, etc. I don't go to places they would go or know people they would know. If I happen to see them I don't break stride and pretend that I didn't.
The bad part of this is solitude and lonliness. However, I know my association with that group will lead to jail or death....not much future in that lifestyle. What is odd is the choices...I know a couple folks addicted to cocaine or whatever, but they don't **** dick to acquire it...they steal from family, strangers, whatever.
I also put my truck into a ditch yesterday...slid on wet pavement.
are you kidding? the government (and really any democracy) is the slowest most inefficient thing on earth. you ****s aren't going to figure (much less act on) out theres been a meltdown and need to scale back until we're in the middle of a rebound.
it would take an act of god or bureaucratic genius to develop a catalyst for widespread cutbacks at your level.
its funny because whenever someone wont quit bitcing about something inane and stupid at work i tell them "guess what, this isn't a democracy" if i think they're smart enough to get where i'm coming from i might also tack on a "and if it was, you wouldn't like that either"

not only that, i'm a new dh. i have power over nothing, only accountability. its like nobody can figure that out.
it is fucking amazing what people will complain about. the other day they were *****ing because the SM said they all had to get their infocus done, asap (its a saftey test they take monthly on 'myapron', the end result is a metric the store is judged against by the asset protection manager on the district level... so skipping completion is not an option. these asshats were in the breakroom saying that if the policy wasn't in the SOP they didn't have to follow it. I asked them what they thought the SM was for if they had this bible.

Seriously, that MFer never stayed past 3pm. His answer was that he came in at 4:30 or so. I couldn't get it through that fellow's head that he had no idea what happened at night.
Oh well, I am not there anymore so the place could fall down for all I care.
