Supa's mom > HDMI > ComponentWB is leading towards HD-DVD now. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
That leaves Sony sitting in the dark with Disney, and ______.
Here is my thing on it...
I have no bias against Toshiba and/or Sony first of all. (I think both build good and very sub par equipment) I visit BB/CC sometimes to pass the time.
I walk though and look at movies I would buy on High Definition disks, I seriously find 4:1 or 5:1 tittles that I like on BR.
And to be 100% honest, watching the "preview" that they have set up at a shit ton of different stores I believe that BR looks better. (I think it has more to do with the tittles than the media since the media is pretty much the same.)
Plus, here is my other thing. I would bet a wooden nickel that if you compared side by side spec for spec, not published specs but real world specs, the Cheap BR player against the Cheap HD player the BR player would be greater. A lot of folks like HD because of the cheap players, but if you subscribe to the school of thought that better equipment might have a higher price this seems totally absurd. (But there are some people that think that a $10 CD Player sounds as good as a $1000 one, which it is their right to think this and good for them if they are happy with a $10 player, I personally want more.) So, to be serious in comparing apples to apples you need to compare the Base Line BR Player with the Second or 3rd Tear HD Player. Moral of the story, people aren't buying because of quality they are buying because of price, and I think that is a dumb and ill advised thing to do.
All of this is just my 2cents... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
