I guess, I mean the penalty of not being able to sue is just way out proportion to the fact that you don't have insurance. Plus, it allows the negligent driver to catch an unjustified break.

how so? Get that shit, if you arent 100% sure you arent going to get in an accident get it. by not doing so, you are waiving your rights and taking that risk. Its their decision. Especially if they knew that beforehand, which they probly did. If someone said you dont have to have insurance......but you cant sue if someone hits you, I would get insurance. If they didnt, theyre dumb, and dumb people dont deserve to drive. Cuz they fuckin **** at it.

Getting insurance isn't exactly a hardship.

I just don't think that failure to have insurance should bar you from bringing suit. Take away their cars, fine the shit out of them, but let don't deny them justice.

Not to mention the fact that if the injured party can't bring suit then the lawyer can't get a fee. Slows down the economy and we can't have that.

Depending on the value of the vehicle it may not be the worst thing in the world.

I have no idea how Indiana's system works regarding uninsured motorists but this is something you need to look at if your state is like mine. Let me know if you need more info on this.

I'm pretty sure we're required to have uninsured motorists coverage.
