Money may not matter for a one night stand that you pick up at last call. Otherwise, money does matter. I think of it as a security issue going back to cave man days....you know, you want to be sure your man can bring home some meat and take care of you.
Although some women are "fine" with a medium income. I asked the ladies I worked with and none of them would date a guy who cleaned restrooms at a truck stop.

I don't know that I would really want a woman who did not think of future security on the front end. To me, a woman who failed to take that into consideration does not have sense enough to look out for her best interest, which means that she would be prone to acting irrationally in the futuure. (Well, even more so than women typically do).

You are correct. I am guessing there are many out there though that would create possible relationship ending tension in a situation like mine. Money is still the number one reason for tension that leads to divorce. To me it is utterly ridiculous, but can understand the how.

IMEO, playing those type games only makes the situation much worse and just leads to depression, etc. These are different times, and anyone who does not understand that is a complete idiot.
