try this tee. go to services.msc find the installer, disable it hit apply then put it on manual and start the service. then try to install. Doing that usually makes installer work normally for me if it isnt working right.

That could pose a problem. You should have one on hand for extreme cases where a re-install is the only option left. Which if SP3 is the thing causing you fits may very well be the case to get back to SP2.

Well I would go buy an XP Pro CD from newegg. Always good to have one.

If the above process Dev said doesn't help, then try re-installing the Windows Installer. It may not have installed correctly in your SP3 update.

The hunting forum I have posted on the past 4 years is becoming more like this forum. It used to be a very civil forum where everyone got along. I am very well respected over there and all that stuff.

However, with the increase in assholeness, I am going to start being a douche and instigating things over there. I am friends with the main moderator's son, and he has made me 2 turkey calls..lol..

More forums should strive to be like this forum IMO. Irivers. I have one, its the best for me. Just drag and drop. You can store anything on it. Its just a HD. I put text, pics and music on it. Oh it has a radio too and you can view the pictures if you want. There are updates to it so you can watch movies, but I never tried it.

Mine was 20GB. I dont remember where I bought it, this was 3 years ago. GO to the iriver site and you can see all their models, then search for them elsewhere.
