Sounds good. It seems like I can't get much of anything cheaper than $1,200. I can mix and match various clearance models, but uncertain. The ladies in my office said I would be an idiot if they were different colors. However, one could easily pull off different brands.

She is an idiot for thinking that imo. I don't know of your situation but I have a dedicated room for this shit and I could care less of they are 2 different colors and or brands. It's a fucking laundry room for christ sakes. Is nthe dryer going to decide it will dry less because I didn't color coordinate? Tell that high maintenance bitch to eat a dick.

Sounds like the windows installer is borked.

Did you recently get an update?

Perhaps rolling back befor eit may do the trick.

It's a different skin. There is about 50 gigs left on the hard drive. I defragged about 4-5 days ago. I did install SP3. Is there anyway to go back to SP2?

Try running SFC and see if it detects any corruption with system files.

No. Last I checked, MS warned that SP3 can't be uninstalled. Individual patches can, but not the whole she bang in one swoop.

No recovery CD or operating CD from the mfg?

That could pose a problem. You should have one on hand for extreme cases where a re-install is the only option left. Which if SP3 is the thing causing you fits may very well be the case to get back to SP2.
