I got a message my mom was in the hospital for an appendectomy and I didn't go visit her. She asked me why i didn't come and I asked her why she didn't go to her daughter's wedding and she hung up on me.

I reckon I am about to take the girl with a kid to a town an hour away..She wants to see one of her friends.. I declined last night and earlier this morning and then her friend said she would give me $50 for gas..Considering it costs me only about $32 in gas, I'd make $9/hour on the trip and get to "bond" soberly with ol girl.

I am still probably stupid for doing this. Opinions?

I don't really need the $18 but I really didn't have anything at all to do for the rest of the day and I told her that.

I just don't want her thinking I am going to go out of my way for her. Which technically I am not, but you know what I mean.

I wouldnt do it, are you staying there while she visits her friend, or are you coming right back(dropping her off)?
