yep. then the last weekend they had together she wanted to have a party with them. i was like "wtf you've been with them for two weeks and now instead of finally having a night with me you want to party with them? Wtf is wrong with you?"

Not to be a douche or anything but it kind of sounds like if you take a step back, you may see that the writing could have been on the wall for a while now.

yeah man kids been with us this whole time too and I've had to live with him. It took me so long to accept him and I finally did and see what happens? Yeah man things are a lot worse then it seems, it was just such a mature relationship and it crumbles.

its gonna be rough on both you and the kid. how old is the kid that we are talking about. however at the end of the day this falls on her not you. its her making the poor decision not you. You did the right thing and stood up and proved you are a man. For that I'm proud of you. Not nearly enough men in the world that will do that these days.

Yes, but there are rules and whatnot...instead of doing the right thing because it's the right thing.

i'd say its less about rules but more about doing the right thing. more about morality than rules.

I was surprised when I analyzed my life I found I have never had a serious relationship. I don't know if I "love" anyone.

well I knew something was "wrong," but thinking about her ending is it completely different. she told me some things that were wrong and I figured we were ok after the talk but obviously not. Hell maybe she did meet someone at AT I don't know. It's possible, I sure as hell hope he's worth it. I'm sure it's just a "new love," feeling. She needs to learn to not rush things though, if she keeps this up she'll never find a husband.

yea i know what you mean. but she'll never listen to you on the subject, i tried explaining this to my ex and she did exactly what i didnt want her to do. jumped into relationship after relationship bringing these guys into my sons life for a month or 2 at a time and confusing the hell out of him.

He's about to be 3 actually! June 23rd! He's a great little guy he just acts up a lot but hey man, I've learned all kids are like that at his age. He's real smart and picks up on things easily. He just needs to stop being shifted around so much. He needs something stable. he is always going to his grandparents house, always going to his aunt and uncles and my ex's dads house. It's just a huge mess and she needs to get him in daycare or something. Yeah I've heard that one before, girls say that a lot of guys don't do that anymore. thanks though, appreciate it. that's why I also think it will be really hard for her to find someone like me because it did take her a while to find me. I'm the first person she's had a real long relationship with since the babies daddy.

thats definatly a fun age. kids to need stability, especially at that age. im sure that would help out a bunch with the acting up. kids that age dont have the vocal skills to express exactly what they are feeling so they tend to act out to express their frustration or whatever it is they are dealing with. Thats why with my son the one thing i've made sure i did was have stability. in the 3 yrs his mother and i split up, she has moved about 8x. I've moved 2x and the 2nd move was simplty to make sure i had more room for him if he ever moved in w/ me on a regular basis. which btw, i have full custody now and he lives with me full time. His mother has seen him about 8x in the last 2 yrs and has not paid me one cent in child support. (sorry, kinda got off on my own little rant)

I'm sorry to hear that mike. Seems you and I have experienced similar things just you have it a lot worse then I do. I understand what you're saying though. Glad you have the kid.
I wonder what my girl will do whenever she leaves for Iraq for a year. I wonder what she will do with him.

Don't be sorry that I've gone through shit. How you handle the shit in life today determines what kind of man you will be tommorow. Chalk it off as character building. If i hadnt gone through half the crap i have i wouldnt be the man i am today(some might think that is a bad thing lol).

She will very likely have to sign custody over to a parent or other legal guardian of the child.
