Energy is actually one of the main ones I'm looking at. Been tracking GE for about a couple weeks now. Then I was watching MNBC this morning, and they were talking about how energy stocks are going to be the next big thing.

Initial offer....$114k and 2.5k for closing costs...the real estate agent and teh gf is going to look at it on Thurs and then I will sign the papers to make the offer. I am willing to pay $115.5 and $2.5k for closing costs...I really like the potential.

Looks like the house is in mid-flip. Nice exterior, definitely needs some interior work.

For the money it seems like a good deal, though I don't know what the market is like out there.

Well, if it wasn't beat to shit they'd want $140s. Houses around here are either nice or in foreclosure. Most foreclosures I have seen are like this. I am willing to do the work.

I wouldn't buy stocks in anything that can easily be reproduced the maunfacturer cannot sustain a competitive advantage. Consider the flash drive makers...It is very difficult to create economic moats...Any chinese person can make a flash drive now and they sell for next to nothing...Think about Coke. They have this brand where people prefer them to other soft drinks. Although others can make soft drinks cheaper, they can't touch Coke. Here the brand creates the moat. In other industries and companies, different things create the moat.

Just my opinion...but I wouldn't invest in it. Again, my only reccomendation for next 3-5 is healthcare.

Oh, I like the technology....it's great and replicable. Which means lower costs and higher quality in the future. It is capitalism at work.

On another note, while driving to work I saw a blackbird flying down the highway with a branch in his/her mouth. If they are not afraid of the future...not afraid of recession, war, etc. why should I be. I think it was a signal that good things in the future. I am quite optimistic today.
