I have beat the street every year...but beating 7% on a risk adjusted basis for up to 7 years...I doubt....not saying it isn't possible but I doubt it. I'd pay you $10 just to see a portfolio that could do it. I will do the math...I just need to see the securities and weights.

TN must be whacked out. I had a savings account since 15. First union before it became wachovia.

My father was on the account until I was 18. I received social security from my mother passing and it all went into my account.

And no its not as simple as buying a stock and sitting on it which I am sure you know. You have to continuously buy and sell stocks (often the same couple of stocks) and then have funds to diversify which is where a good portion of my money is now in.

California is going to be a completely different animal. The housing market is near collapse in many areas due to foreclosures but I am sure you can find something.

Dev, so your parents had nothing at all to do with the account? No account at that bank or anything?

I remember doing everything on my own. cashing checks and such. I remember closing the account when i left FL when i was 16. while i was working i did all the deposits. My mom had an account there im sure, but we both have bank of america accounts now. COuld have been coincidence could have been in her name, i honestly dont remember her having anything to do with it though. Ill text her and ask her.

guess it was the different banks. I dont even remember what banks were around back then, only first union. haha Only bank I ever saw my mom go to. I dont know.

First I get ****ed by the IRS on the tax rebate, and now by the housing market.
Why are poor people always whining about getting a raw deal????

If you make too much to qualify, you probably have enough money that it will work for you.
