Thats because Saturn really isn't Saturn anymore.
In the beginning GM really kept that division separate. All the way from R&D to manufacturing and following through to sales strategies. Hell, in the beginning GM employees didn't even get real breaks for buying a Saturn or special factory ordered deals.
Now GM decided it wasn't working and has melded the division into just another Chevy, Pontiac, etc. They share powerplants, assembly lines, and entire platforms with other GM vehicles.
This wasn't the case in the original vision. In fact GM didn't want people to know it was GM.
Tis sad imo.
