Flip I will give you credit for severely overthinking everything. You know that by being in a relationship, that there are more worthwhile things than money, yet you stress over it like there isnt.

Let me say this Flip. I told you a long time ago that I thought that a woman should look at your conservative/prudent approach as a good thing. It will ensure her financial security for the rest of her life. It should be highly valued.

You just need to make sure that she sees this quality of your personality as being an assett to your joint future and not as an obstacle to your romantic relationship.

Maybe she already sees this. Forgive me if I am being presumptious.

I do that because money is something I trust. I trust that if I have $1,000 under my matress today, it will be there in 10 years. It isn't going to leave me.
I am always hesitant to trust people the same level I trust money.

I understand that. Problem being its a little hard to be in a relationship that you want to work without unconditional love/trust. That I firmly believe is the number one reason relationships fail. a lack of trust.

And yes im aware the risks mitigated with that. Sometimes you just gotta take a chance.

I think she just ignores most of it....let's me say what I need to say and then not worry about it. She just wants to be with me whether I make a million bucks a day or 100.

As well as she should. Thus the unconditional part. If you truly believe that than there is no reason you should not give her the same love and not worry about things like living arrangement contracts.

Yep, notice that I said should. Women always rank finacial security as one of their highest needs -- they just don't want to pay the price for it. In typical female fashion they don't recognize the answer to their needs. It has to do with having a ****** I think.

I would say as they get older financial security gains in importance. But its pretty established that they make no sense in their logic anyways so who am I to say?

I don't think the price for financial secuity is very high...unless by price, you mean dating someone like me...

You're just high maintenance Flip. And there is nothing wrong with that if you are with someone that appreciates it.

Financial security should be important to anyone, but there also must be balance.

Money really isnt everything. and if you have enough to get by than it shouldnt mean much else.

Honestly, I have no idea what a lawyer will tell you in a situation like this.

Well, I was certainly not thinking of it the way you put it. But now that you said it, in some ways yes. I just think you are reading a derogatory connotaion that was not implied. But I do mean that, given the priority women put on finances, a woman should view fiscal responsibility as an attractive attribute.

I would agree. Of course, the catch is that by then it is often too late.
