Here's some WAY Crunk customer service for you guys ~
A few of you know about my battle to source an appropriate cage for the Alpine HU Reson8 was kind enough to donate to The BudgetMobile.
Well, I locate what I think might be what I need online so I call Alpine's tech support to verify that the part number is, in fact, what I need for this CDA-7930.
He tells me yes, the part number I located was indeed the right cage that I'm after but that it won't come with the spring-loaded clips I also need or the tee-tiny screws to attach said clips to the HU's side.
To make a long story short (see Flam Jam for a detailed explanation if you care to) the guy I talked to at Alpine's Tech Support is sending me the following:
One (1) mounting sleeve for a CDA-7930
Two (2) Spring-loaded clips to secure the deck to the cage
Four (4) screws to attach the above clips to the sides of the HU's chassis
He charged me the following (including shipping): $0.00 !!
That is Crunk tech support, my friends.
