Well, I just saved myself some crazy monies.
I was going to get the prs-800 soon as it came out because of the usb support. Turns out the 880 already has an adapter....But it is a bit pricy ($120). Now I just need to figure out about getting a low powered hard drive, or finding a hard drive that works off 12 volts.

Umm... don't most if not all HD's run off +12v?

I know the output from the powersupply on most PC's is +12v... and the harnesses in my old desktop PC hooked straight up to my HD. Never metered them though...

Because I can buy a hard drive for a fraction of the cost...and I do not like the interface. I hate that wheel thing or whatever the hell it is.

You use the headunit to control the ipod, and the ipod adapter is half the cost of the USB attachment you were talking about.

It isn't that bad. There are things more difficult than school. Juggling it all is sometimes a big deal...juggling school, work, gf, social life, etc.

so after looking around at that beach that Iamdeman rec we might have found an awesome place to stay. Looks beautiful and the price is amazing. She gets a military discount there and for how long we want to stay it's around 400 dollars, that's extremely cheap for what we've been looking at. yeah she and I both agreed that his advice was better. The temperature during that time of year is up to par with her as well. I just couldn't believe at how nice the place was, the view and the cost. Probably look into it seriously this weekend.

How much is the room(rough estimate) and where is it?

I'm looking to take a pretty good vacation this year. I need a break from the real world.

Yeah man, going to Florida it sounds like. Now we just have to decide how we are going to get there. airplane tickets are outrageous atm.

Maybe, I dunno. I just don't really like the iPod. My zune is nearly full. Plus I would probably rip every CD I could find and just play it on random.

Kinda surprised at howm many of you in the MoT thread expressed a belief that domestic auto reliability is about the same as foreign. I have not looked at statistics, but just going off of my experience I really like Toyotas. I don't know of anyone who has had the same luck with doemstics.

Having said that, I have to get my catalytic converter replaced. The shop initially told me the Toyota part was $1,800. The then found one for about $200, but said that their would be another couple hundred bucks in labor because it would have to be modded to fit.

The next place I called said they could do it for $169 installed.
