A'ight Flip. Tis official. I new set of comps are called for. The dam glue around the phase plug on my set has apparently failed as the plug is seperated from the cone. I guess that could explain my dissatisfaction with the midbass response, lol. I am surprised that it does not sound like complete shit but it really does not.

So, I think it is between the new Rainbow SLC's and the Alpine Type X Pros. The difference in price is about $200. Most likely I will go with the Rainbows and call it a day. Fvck if I could not immediately tell that the mids on my current set were fvckerized I don't think I need to be spending much on car audio.

I will sell you my Rainbow SLC-265's as long as you are not in Texas.

i must teach you the ways of NL. i agree though, 4-8 is more fun.
Well I need something, I am not ashamed to admit. Quite frankly the only reason I am even fooling with NL is b/c the game at the HR looks so good. It is not that I am completely afraid to push without a hand -- I did it a few times last night. I just am not used to the fact that you can wiittle down your stack pretty dam quick doing so.

I saw one guy get punished when he made his wheel on the river and the other guy had a full house. That kinda shit is diturbing -- but I never would have been drawing to a straight (esp a gutshot) with the board paired. I later saw those same two guys tie up in a HUGE pot. This time the gutshot chaser hit his broadway to beat top pair top kicker. By the time he hit his gutshot the money had long been in the pot. Craziness.

Go with the new SLCs.
I was sorely disappointed with the tweeters in the orignial SLCs.

I have nothing to sell you, however.

I am waiting for pacparts to stock the alpine tweeter, as that is all I am really interested in.

I am finalizing my plan for the pdx5....is that IDQ a 10 or 12?
It's a 10.

The new SLC's (as you probably saw) have the CAL25 so I am sure that it would be an improvement over the old tweet and an improvement over what I already have. The crossover is also very flexible -- about like the Germ's.

I thought the tweeter on the SLC's was very nice. If I would be disappointed in anything, it would've been the midbass.
I kinda figured the midbass would be the weakest part -- at least with the latest model.
