Yes they are. If you blind tested people between systems with these done and are identical. No one will notice the fraction of a db lost during peaks. Now if the electrical is so shot that the V drops to low 11s or 10s, then maybe the spl will b noticeable enough. In any stock electrical on my cars only difference was noticed on my Voltage meters not my ears. and my lights had less disco with this doen, but audibly it is negligible on most stock cars. This is also talking about normal daily setups. Large amunts of power of course will show up weakenesses of stock electrical by a bigger margin.

That link was from 3 months ago. A lot of happened since then. (Such as Warner Brothers switching to Blu-Ray) Anyway very few Blu-Ray discs have region coding anymore. The first couple of movies titles did however, but not as much anymore.

Also the Lord of The Rings trilogy will only be released on Blu-Ray, so once that happens I'm sure HD-DVD will get too far behind and eventually fold. Also the Star Wars movies are going to be released on whichever format is winning in the next 2 years. Which is good news for Blu-Ray.

Plus Blu-Ray movies outsold HD-DVD movies two to one last year.

Universal & Paramount will not go Blu, they are direct competitors of Sony. They also don't like Sony because of the Betamax fiasco.

As long as MS, Para, & Uni support HD-DVD(which they ALL are 100% behind), the format will exist.

I stand by my decision. Fuck Sony! I hope they go bankrupt.

But only 2 major film studios support HD DVD anymore. Compared to the all the others supporting Blu-Ray. Thats a tough uphill battle for Toshiba, since they will release fewer movies each year than Blu-Ray.

Every site that I've read said that Blu-Ray was out selling HD-DVD in the USA and worldwide. (2 to 1 in the USA, 3 to 1 in Europe, and 14 to 1 in Japan last year in favor of Blu-Ray sales)
