What do you dislike about the CDTs? I don't like they spend so much money on painting/powdercoating the basket....it seems like a waste of resouces/unfocused advantage. I don't patronize companies that waste money..

For the money -- I honestly think that it would be hard to beat the EF's. I paid $175 BNIB shipped two years ago. I really have not had any problems with them.

I definitely think they were a good buy for someone who was just getting back into the hobby.

The big knock on them is that they lack midbass -- and I would have to say that is true. However, the miidrange is quite good IMO and I have never noticed any audible distortion.

I have no real interest in a lateral move with respect to comps. I think I may try some Iridiums or Germaniums next.

I think I am okay on amps.

I may also buy a G5 and give it a try. I have always wanted to run that sub for some reason. If I do I may keep the Mag until I see how that goes.
