There's no point really. White people tend to like things without points. Seinfeld, the greatest comedy of all time, did not have a point. It isn't supposed to...and that is what makes it funny.
When I watch more black-focused comedies, they tend to play of (what I think) chiched stereotypes and I find it more exploiting than funny. But my friends laugh and laugh.

My mother liked some of the Tyler Perry movies....they where "whitened" it seems if you compare it to the plays. My comments about being confused where about the plays. I don't find cross dressing very funny at all. Whether he does it, or Eddie Murphy does it.

ive seen a couple episodes of seinfeld. there definitely was a point. Like there was a topic of each episode. And the episode was about that topic.

Did you think there was a difference between the Tyler Perry plays and the movies? I did. I think he tweaked them to make them appeal to a wider audience.

I can see what you were saying, because at first he didnt think it would be as successful when he was doing the plays. Look at his show he has, reminds me of the plays.
