I thought the consensus was clear. It doesn't smell right. Even though he has an out with a chargeback, I still don't think potential inconveniences are worth whatever possible deal he has stumbled upon. I am not one for playing around when it comes to deals online. I go by the book and if something smells the least bit funny to me, I walk.

EDIT: As a seller I also would ignore his request to end auction early with a polite response to feel free to make a bid. That request would tingle my spidey senses.
