Many responsible BDSM players do electrical play as if it were a casual thing like a flogging. They get good equipment. They learn its use. They believe they play safely. Knowing how and approximately how much current is going through the heart with ANY electrical device is another. Keeping your play equipment in good working order is a third. That's why you haven't heard many horror stories about electrical play. All of this is covered in JUICE.
The thing is that there are horrors and potential horrors that you need to be aware of. Also you need to know that there are no guarantees. There are no definitive medical, scientific, or play studies of electrical play that say, "Do this and you'll be safe." You players are on their own. You alone are responsible for what you do.
