crunch ground pounder 3000 pro vs ap3000d vs AQX-3500.1

just funny man i bet he has never had a gp3k anywhere near him lolz. they are both great amp companies with a track record to prove it, i just find it funny that if they have the same board ect why is the gp only "rated" at 3k and has more and better parts inside than the 3500 watt aqx?

ill contact marketing and get you an answer asap.

thanks on the quote.. I replotted, and I love it. 2 MXs 40 cubic feet @ 15Hz, 6000 watts ( hoping that the GPVs will have plenty of headroom and the gains will be down a touch or a few)

vs

4 MXs 40 cubes sealed 10000 watts ( 100 watts headroom per BXi)

under 40mm Xmech, though I hope the suspension tightening will keep it closer to Xmax in reality

Haha, listen to the maxxonics dealer. Yes the gp series was discontinued. It was replaced by the gpv series. The 3000d was getting replaced by the gpv30001d but ran into problems during production and kept pushing the date back. The gpv30001d has the same board as the aqx35001 but the aqx has better processing for cleaner output.
i would like your reference for this, or some kind of proof.

considering there's only been a hand full of people who have seen the production board on the new amp, and obviously you haven't because of what i know and you clearly don't.

Just look at the guts of both amps. Identical all the way down to the color of wire. The aq has more small processing pieces though.

i guess i just haven't seen the guts of either amp posted.

especially since everything is supposed to be tight lipped @ maxxsonics about the new amp until after ces.

The gpv is rated at 12.8 volts the aqx is rated at 14.4 thus the power difference. Also, the rd is identical to these 2 and is advertised as a 3000 watts also but yet puts out over 3500@1 ohm. Oh how could it be???lol!

Thanks beat me to it. Also if you are wondering the aqx is green in that pic because it Is a pic of the sample. The actual ones are blue boards and identical to the rd and crunch,

fwiw, i've seen that gut pic of the gpv3000 before, but i'm thinking that might not be the finalized version pictured //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

so the aqx has the same poor mosfet mounting of the old gp3000d-pro.. I definitely wouldn't mount that amplifier on a box.

Wow this thread got off topic quick! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
nope! this is what I wanted :p

Sic, so where's my quotes? I'll email ya in a sec... cuz I was originally gonna send in my KX850.4 and KX200.2 for repair, then Brian got me excited about 2 SX900.4's, then I thought just getting 2 new SX400.2s and a SX900.4. But I think I'd rather go optical/AI-Net rather than RCA...MEH!

so 2 GPV700.2's a GPV1600.2 and 2 GPV3000.1Ds
