Im looking for an amp for my 18" heavyweight and I am trying to decide between these two... let me know what you guys think both are roughly the same price

thanks!!!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

they both do rated......

but the atomic has a slightly better board, a zenon board, handles lower ohms better and benches a tad bit more than the crunch.

but the crunch is smaller though.

and the crunch is cheaper

so go with the crunch

ahhhh if you can get the atomic for the same price as the crunch, go atomic.

If you have the money, I'd go with the Atomic. Power-wise, there may not be much difference, but as far as quality, longevity, and such I'd go with the Atomic. Plus the Atomic would likely handle low ohm loads better. My GP3000D got HOT at 1.4ohm. I can only imagine it at 0.5.

But, if the budget is tight, pick up the GP3k. Plus the new models are supposedly better. Though I don't like how the newer GP series looks.

lmao....hot at 1.4 ohms...thats because your electrical doesnt support tha current hog named Crunch. Crunch you definitely need the h/o alt and a couple batteries for.
Lol, except for the fact my voltage never went below 12.6....

where can you get the Atomic at about the same price?

with a stock 90 amp and 2 batteries...doubtful
Lol, doubt all you want. I don't care. Just about any local that's seen my system when I had the GP3k before the FET legs snapped will say that is correct. This wasn't burping full tilt for 30 minutes though. It was just after playing music at high volumes for a while.

um ive had two gp3000d's and neither of them got hot off 1 ohm each after heavy playing.neither of them ever got hot to the touch.

so x2o something's wrong wit ur electrical
Well wasn't that, voltage stayed up. My amp was just ****ed, lol.

Oh, and ohm load was 1.2, not 1.4.

Oh, and my stock alt is either 90A or 110A. Don't recall as I had to get a new one put in about 2 years. Can't remember if I did the 90A or 110A.. I had the choice though, but don't really remember. I'll check it some day. But, in the mean time, I'm just going for broke and assuming it's 90.
