Crossover Help

This may be a stupid question but i was wondering if a crossover is reversible....say i have two sets of wires coming from the amplifier and one is for mids and the other is for highs...for two seperate speakers....i would want to combine them so i could use just one speaker....o and this is on the monsoon system in my 00 camaro....i just dont want to lose use of the factory amp and have to re wire everything...thanks for any help.
