For all the Crossfire users on this forum is there a difference in the quality of the XP series of amplifiers vs the VR series of amplifiers? I hear mixed reviews about the XP series. Some say it is really good and others say the XP series is not as good as the VR series of amplifiers.

The XP series is not as rock solid as the VR (Based on my personal experience), however, they were offering 7 year warranty on it if you bought it from an authorized dealer, so that is a plus.

It's not likely than they are very different, except the outsides. Crossfire is known to release new models every few years and change little in the way of design.

I did a install of a xp600 to replace a vr404 and the guy could not notice any difference!

I did. the case was much bigger on the xp and this makes the vr better for me.

They sound like they have about the same power, but CF has change the voltage that they rate at.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
