The only issue I see with having someone else make a site for me is the cost involved, and the fact that I can't just easily go on there and edit it on the fly, add new stuff, etc.

$30 for the site + custom admin panel for you to edit shit?

EDIT: also, amazon offers free web services. you can get a dedicated server box free for a year, then you pay bandwidth after that (bandwidth is dirt cheap, you pay like a dollar a month). host it on amazon's server, get a cheapo domain from godaddy, and youre good to go
