I use my blade

I use an x-acto knife, works great! Then to crimp I use heavy duty pliers or the classic hammer anvil method.

I use bolt cutters to crimp 0 gauge terminals...lol, and a freaking saw to cut the wire, actually a dremel with a cutting wheel...was doing some wiring and I had to make 25 crimps and cuts or so.

I use a chisel and a hammer...lol for 0awg...to cut and crimp..

for 4awg, a bolt cutter for cutting, hammer for crimping...etc..

But as above I use a Xacto knife for the stripping...

husky? mine won't do 8 guage. never seen one that would do 4 guage, especially made by husky. not a fan of husky. it's a good poor man's option for decent tools.

use a razor blade to strip just about anything 8gauge down...

a kitchen knife to cut anything thicker then 4awg.

and some huge ass pliers and hammer/vise to crimp

I use a utility knife (box cutter), and a 6" heavy duty vice.

razor to strip. 6 dollar torch from harbor freight and solder to make the connection. ONLY way to get a GOOD connection and it doesn't take any kind of physical activity lol

i use a knife or razor blade, and a big set of vise grips to crimp. if the connector is closed i will just melt some solder inside and shove the wire in without crimping.

Razor knife for power wire.

Vice grips for crimping.

I'm interested in how you people solder them without melting the casing off of the wire. I tried with my little 20w iron and some tiny electronics solder, but that was taking absolutely forever, so I switched over to the propane torch and the bigger solder, and I was melting the casing off of the wire...
