Crescendo bc2000 vs dd m2a wtf???

Thank you twisted. Glad someone came in here with some real information other than "omg dd is teh bestest, and crescendo is **** compared to it"

LOL I have not LOLed that hard in a while.

Let me change that...this whole thing made me LOL even more then the last one did....
You know damn well what I was meaning Dustin... I know exatly what was funny about my comparison and that AQ and DD are virtually the same I have owned both but as I was talking price wize when saying AQ is pretty much in the same level with AP and crescendo...

Ur right, the name.
And yep let me tell you they are the same thing just like AQ subs and DD subs are the same thing with the different dustaps...

I will also state that I was not bashing the BC's or not hugging DD in anway... Especially since I was the one that brought word to this forum about the new BC series and had planned on buying one before twisted owned his lol... But I found a deal on my M3a so I choose to take it instead...

Isnt it that DD is the dad, and the son went to open AQ now (Soundqubed), but now AQ is run by the sons family, however the Wife is making some bad choices. i could be wrong. and american bass is another family company?

DD started by son

AQ(SQ) started by dad

DD and AQ(SQ) are now virtually just ran by the son and his wife.

This is very common knowledge and can be looked up.

The windings on the M2A look like an amp optimized for lower voltages. Notice the thicker wire on the transformers. Typically this will also mean the amp is not made for a 16v system (which I believe is the case with many of the newer DD amps).

The board layouts are likely very similar or the same but with different end goals of input voltage performance. Could also be using different power supply and output FET chips -- cannot tell at all in the photos.

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif they shut off at 15.5v

AQ, DD, and crescendo are all built in same build house. The dd's get better parts than the other 2. If you stay at 1ohm and don't compete just get the cheapest.

Lol at this thread. Reminds me if what I thought when I opened this beast up...

I believe Digital Designs, like Sundown, uses upgraded parts in their amplifiers whereas the lower cost units from the same build house, like Audioque and Crescendo, are just an off the shelf design. I saw a similar pattern with Arc Audio, Clarion, Cerwin Vega, Elf, and Vibe in recent years with the same board design, but different parts and way different ergonomics, like crossovers and gains on the bottom of the amp versus the top.
Arc audio makes all those for those companies u just list'd

Which amp is better? dd m2a, aq2200 or dc 2.0k //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif ?
You should probably re-read the thread. And while the DC wasn't mentioned, it's rated at less than the AQ. There are plenty of clamped results around the internet of all 3 of those amps.
