Crescendo bc2000 vs dd m2a wtf???

^^ That DAT proto is a beastly amp..
If I wasn't going sq I'd keep it

Haha. Naw. The AQ and DD boards are almost the same. I believe the DD is just meant to run at lower voltage.
Just saying that's who they are trying to compete with... And as far as quality they are about the same but as I have said idk how many times there is a reason you pay what you do for DD over AQ

If your looking to buy OP I have 2 amps that will work for you... Just figured if throw that out there since I need the money asap
Pm me what you have.

To the others saying it isn't the same as dd, and is more along the lines of aq, etc.....does anyone have any actual data, or is this just all 12 year olds talking crap they don't know about?

Clearly, it looks like the same board and build house.....so the only real differences are the actual small parts. Anyone know specifically where the bc2k is specifically skimping on parts?

I believe Digital Designs, like Sundown, uses upgraded parts in their amplifiers whereas the lower cost units from the same build house, like Audioque and Crescendo, are just an off the shelf design. I saw a similar pattern with Arc Audio, Clarion, Cerwin Vega, Elf, and Vibe in recent years with the same board design, but different parts and way different ergonomics, like crossovers and gains on the bottom of the amp versus the top.

Look at it this way... The BC's and AQ's are like a stock mustang they are nice and get the job done but when you really put it throughs it's paces it may start to fail... But if you where to get the GT500 (DD) you would find it will do just fine daily as well but what really counts is how much better it holds up to what the stock stang couldn't.... Make since? In on my phone so I didn't go to into depth lol

I get that. I've known it ever since the zenon amps started being the big thing.

What I'm asking is if anyone knows what components have been swapped, and if in a daily driver run at 1 ohm nominal and with the voltage not dropping stupid low, will the bc be beaten bad, if at all.

I don't compete. I don't drop below rated impedance (I just see no reason to do that with a daily driver). So I really have no need for something to do what a 20.1 can do if I can save a few hundred. And I'm pretty sure others are the same as me. So this is kind of an educational thing for them as well.

I'd be willing to bet almost every part is different... The BC is much much closer with AP and AQ not DD
LOL I have not LOLed that hard in a while.

Let me change that...this whole thing made me LOL even more then the last one did....

Its simple bc .5ohm 12v say good bye. M2a .5ohm 12v smiles at u... That right there is worth the extra money IMO.
Uncorrect....lot of misinformation ITT.....I will just say this.....Crescendo,DD,AQ, and AB are all close buds......to add to this i have a bud running 2 BC2k's @ .5ohm each....has dropped below 12v @ comps on a few occasions no prob......hell....my teammate ran 2 BC3500's down to 8v accidentally before the amps went into protect! lol
