Credit Card?!:(

capital one - NO. Interest out the arse and they will literally buttsecks you up after the first month or so.

Chase - They are ok if you are a college student, they will work with you.

Discover - Good, had one of them and got behind on one payment and they ended up waiving the late fee and let me pay half then and the other half at a later date.

i got a capitalone card when i turned 18 with no annual fee and i just pay it off monthly. it started at a 300 limit but its up to 750 and i just turned 19 a couple weeks ago.

howd u get it up to $750, Ive been stuck at $500 for a while!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif

My first CC was a Chase BP Visa, which I got shortly after I turned 18.

It's a great card (5% back on BP gas/store purchase, and 1-3% back on a list of other things), and I think it looks better because you'll actually be using it for something important, like gas.

Or, you could go to some stupid little store and apply for their store credit card. A girl I know a girl with no credit who applied at "Petland" or something and received a card with a $5K limit.

They didn't bump me up until I went over by $23, then they hit me with a $33 overcharge fee, and THEN doubled my limit. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

They're funny how they work, I applied for a card with a $500 limit, then denied me, saying I "have as much credit as we can give you at this time" and then gave me another $1000 on my other card...

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Capital One® customer.

We couldn't approve you for the Capital One® Credit Card and we'll follow up in writing within a couple of weeks to explain the specific reasoning behind our decision.

you could always try something like a citibank student card. That's where I started with a $1200 limit. I don't have it anymore though... I've built up some pretty good credit though. Now I've got my wamu mastercard with a 4k limit and my amex with a 3k limit.

It's either that or ask your bank what they can do for you.
