how do you do it and does it hurt your credit score? can it be done online or do i have to call the credit card company?

Balance tranfers do not hurt your credit at all. We just did a balance transfer from an interest bearing credit card to an 0% for 12 months card to save a few bucks. The company that we transfered the balance to charged a small percentage for the transfer, I believe it was either 1.5 or 3 percent. Usually the balance transfers can be done online, but some cards are done differently.

im trying to transfer the balance from my bank of America to my chase credit card since i just signed up for the chase about a month ago but i cannot find the option that lets you do that on the online banking.

if thats the last option, ill consider it. just hate givin up personal info over the phone. you never know who you be talkin to over the other line.
