Crazy Weekend

So I went home this weekend to Medford from Corvallis to pick up my Explorer from getting engine work done on it and to hang with some buddies. I get into Medford on Thursday and pick up my Explorer after spending $2000 repairing it, pay the guy, and everything's cool. He tells me I have a 4 month warranty on it.

So later that night, and at 2am, my friends and I decide to go camping next to the river so we can get up early to go fishing. So we drive up there in my Explorer bumpin' the new Chili Peppers CD and get there about 3:30, then we fall asleep in my Explorer right when the sun is coming up. So about 8:30, we get up and do some fishing. The river is really abnormally high for this time of year and really muddy, so we couldn't walk across to get to our usual spot. After 3 hours, we didn't catch anything, so we drive back into town.

Then we played some baseball for half a day until we BBQ'd, then went to my friend's girlfriend's house to hang out for a while. So there's this really cool chick over there who I started talking to. We go to see the new X-Men movie that night, and then go back to my friend's GF's house to drink. So anyway...

I start driving back to campus yesterday afternoon around 3pm, and my check engine light in my Explorer pops on again, and it starts running rough. So I'm like FUCK. So I call my dad to see what he thinks I should do, and he said to just drive it back into Medford and drop it off at the shop. So I did.

I took the Greyhound BACK to Corvallis from Medford and it left at 3am this morning. After 3 hours of no sleep on the bus listening to an Arab guy talk in Arabic or something on the phone for 2 hours, and a mile walk back to my dorm carrying my luggage, here I am posting this random shit at 8am. Now I'm going to sleep before class.

Good news on my Explorer, the shop says it was only the combination of a vacuum line left off, and the 5th cylinder's spark plug was dirty (hence the misfiring). So the guy drove it around for 2 hours today he said, and it drives perfect he says. hope so i had the exact same expo and man was it a pita .

although i must say if thats all that was wrong it would of acted up from the get go...

that plug did not just get "dirty" all of a sudden come to think of it the same goes for the vac. hose.

I used to ride the greyhound all the time instead of driving my Explorer because I didn't want to put a bunch of miles on it.
