Crazy Weekend

hope so i had the exact same expo and man was it a pita .although i must say if thats all that was wrong it would of acted up from the get go...

that plug did not just get "dirty" all of a sudden come to think of it the same goes for the vac. hose.
Well it was riding rough from the second I got it back, which is why I knew something was up. I thought maybe I got a bad batch of gas. But the check engine light came on about 250 miles after it started running rough, and that's after a camping trip and driving 25 miles on the freeway.

I used to ride the greyhound all the time instead of driving my Explorer because I didn't want to put a bunch of miles on it. I seem to always get hit on by those older ladies in their 30's who like to talk about weird shit. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif But what's cool is it's cheaper than driving gas-wise.

im just giving you shit

ahh i was just going off what you said.
Did you have the same thing happen with your Explorer? The head gasket was what originally went and cost me $2000 due to Ford not putting new heads on the new engine that was put in.

actually for me it was more ****** and electrical problems . for the most part did not have engine troubles aside from the usual water pump/alternator replacements .

Yeah, when the alt needs some work I'm going to buy a 200a or higher alt so that's not a problem, and the water pump was replaced 5000 miles ago.

dam that sux, a friend of mine just bought a 2002 explorer xlt with the 4.0.... this wouldn't happen to be the engine you're refering to would it?
The engines for the 96 to 2001 are the same I think, the 2002 is a different engine, even though they are both 4.0.
