Crazy Rpm's??

when i crank my system when totally stopped at a light or stop sign, my rpm's kind bounce up and down. Its not a huge bounce, but u can feel the engine kinda jerkin the car. But when i turn my system down, that problem instaltly goes away.... i figure its my car about to blow up and die but let me know what elecrical system is failing this time

You're killing your alternator by running it like that...

the combo of alt and battery cannot match up with subs + ignition system. Check battery/charging system soon, lest you be walkin'

get rid of the cap and get a new alternator...

a new battery will help overall, but not in your situation...being the alternator would have to work harder to charge a better battery

You need to test your battery, and have your charging system checked. A bad battery will keep an alternator from working to it's potential. You don't need to ditch the cap, as it isn't hurting anything, the amps current draw exceeding the electrical system capacity is the problem. Everyone likes to hate on caps, but I think it's because they are misunderstood.
