Crazy midbass out of my PG RSD 6.5s??? Not so much...

I agree, deadening is important... But it's kind've hard to do when it's 20 degrees or less outside, without a garage
Bah, I did mine outside when it was below 30 and snowing //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Just had a heat gun running constantly...

I fail to see how anyone can refer to my install as "shitty" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
I just didn't put deadener on yet. LOL.

You guys are a trip.
Those weren't my words, but...

It's a bit like buying a car without the tires. You can't expect it to perform anywhere near its potential...in other words, it's a big "just".

When I first installed my RSD's, without any tweeking or adjustments, female vocals on the tweeters were harsh. But once I tuned them a little on my HU, they were fine.

What is the mounting Depth on these Speakers? My doors are very shallow and im looking for a component set that has a 2" or less mounting depth, do these fit the bill?

I'd spend some time tuning them. Not sure what HU you have but you should have at least treble/bass you can adjust or maybe some EQ'ing. Turn down the upper freq's and boost the lows and see how it sounds...

BTW...REAL car audio enthusiasts apply deadener in 20degree weather....wearing shorts and drinking a cold one LOL

Hey.. I wanted to add something on to here...

I'm getting a kind of buzzing noise coming from my speakers.. The thing is I can't tell if it's the recording or the speakers... When I noticed it I was listening to Ratatouille, and there was no "constant background noise" in the songs... This is really the only time I have noticed it...

First things first, try some other recordings to see if the problem duplicates. If it does, then you can start checking your wiring and gains to see if it's all in check.
