why does everyone assume that cause u have 12 SD 3000.1's on 2 subs that ur actually putting all that power to them?
There are gains on the amps and subwoofer controls....so unless your feeding them the highest RCA voltage and set the gains with a DMM there not getting all that power.

I could hook up a 6x9 to my AT 5k and claim that it takes the power.

the gain is 75% up, 5volt burr brown outputs, deck tuned up 75-80 %

I wouldnt reccomend a customer do put this much power to them.

If anyone is going to that car show in Atlanta today they are free to check my gains and voltage or whatever else they want.

I am actually going to the SHW v.2 in a couple weeks to demo that. They will handle the power much better.

We are going to open the port to 60 per sub and tune them at 34hz.

These will go a long time tull tilt. I am sure i can blow them if i wanted.

I still think it is hilarious when people who come in, who are supporting such and such company, have to bash on the people for an opposing company to try and make their product look better. I think that is pretty petty, and make me want to stray away from that brand even more.

I agree, I think its petty to trash any company or person who is just trying to do what they do. Lots of people get into what they beleive is the best and F-ck the rest. Its like that in alot of things in life and is really part of the problem if you ask me.

You can take it how you choose to. If you think i am tricking you and running 250w RMS to each that is your opinion.

75% was meant to be a reference point.

With all the power I am putting on them I know it is over what they should take. I rate the 15” at 3000-3500 RMS at that power they are great. I put more on them to show it’s possible. They do no distort and they sound good.

The SHW V.2 is meant to handle the 4k+ rms. I can play these as long as my electrical permits without any issues.

I often take my own products to extremes to see what it can do. I took the amps to .35 each to see if they would handle it or go into protect or even blow, same thing with the subwoofers. If they were to fail I would find the cause and try to improve it.

If it was a customer’s vehicle I would have three of the Heavyweights in there at no lower than .5 ohm.

The Amplifiers we have been testing very low in many vehicles. With the D series amps we upgrades the mosfet chips, Caps, Heatsink, Transformers, choke filter and a bunch of other things. Really just trying to find there breaking point.

We did this to be able to offer the best products we possibly can.

Many companies have been looking for ways to cut costs during these economic slow times. We have not, we have been trying to improve the whole product line anyway we can.

I feel ya, we will be making a ton with the new SHW V.2. The daily version should be around 4" excursion. We are just about finished with it. The thing has a 4" 80+ mm tall voice coil

That .35ohm is DCR correct?

Cuz then that's .5ohm nominal on your amps.

No matter what though, you got some solid ground on great products in this industry. I really like the Tahoe. Blue is my favorite color and the rims and everything compliments itself.
