This Gorilla Zoe playing in the Tahoe.

It is seven group 31’s Two Mechman Alts @ 15.0volts with two D9’s @ .35 ohm daily on Two Heavyweight V.2’s the Daily version.

I have 5 layers of sound deadener on the roof, 5 on the back hatch, 3 layers in each door and 2 on the floor.

I made this video in part to show a 3” voice coil subwoofer can handle well over 3000 watts RMS.

The D9’s put out 62xx watts each on a bench @ 15volts at a pure 1 ohm. I have the amps at 0.35 ohms each. I am not sure the exact impedance rise. I am sure they are getting well over 3,000 watts rms and the song played is tuned VERY low.

Just a video smartass.......
Actually... its one of the only vids I have seen of a 3" coil taking that kind of power... unless you could do better?!?!?

didnt think so....

pwned much ?

at the very least that is like 13kw at least ! on two 15's w/3" vc , so many people talk shit about how there is no way they can take 5k daily . . .

I prefer to listen to music, not watch metal go back and forth.

If that was the only goal, 10Hz sine waves and lots of displacement would be the only thing required //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

John Janowitz has said his 2.5" coild subs could take 10K on them and I know people have thrown 10K+ on BTLs before, so no, in that sense, not terribly impressive.

The vid to me was showing that the subs can take GOBS of power and are not just burp machines. They play very well in daily boxes.

And I like how Steve said " 3" coil taking 3,000 rms".... when we all know thats more than 3k...

Steve.... you should put some other competitor subs in there just to see what happens.

Or do you not want your leather getting soaked with coil smoke?!?!?! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Daily? on a song that low? with that much power? I dont think so... not in a BTL's dream
I've seen a BTL coil after 10kW on a sine wave, and the only reason it failed was mechanical, not thermal //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Coil looked new...

Regardless of how smart it is to actually listen at those kind of levels "daily"...

But it failed..... regardless.....
