//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif Well it was one cold day in West Virginia when I went to make a turn onto a back road. Some company was re-renovating a park on the side of the road and sand had drifted into the road. My tires didnt catch anything and i slid into an embankment. No major damage at all (I was only going 30) well my bumper cracked and now there is a wire/sensor dangling.....Im scared that its my air bag sensor,Ill post a pic when i get home tonight. Im gonna go ahead and buy a body kit becuase I was planning to get one soon anyway. Now 2 days later I get in my car and turn my windshield wipers on and the off again and then on again and they stop in the middle of the windshield, Would it be because of the crash? If now what would cause this? Is there anything I can do to fix it or should I take it to the dealership and see what they can tell me?....Its a Honda. Any help would be greatly appreciated..//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif I can give you more info if you need to but Im in the middle of class so I gotta roll....

^ by your username, 05Honda, I'm guessing it's a 2005 Honda Civic?

Front bumper, back bumper?

Do your headlights / taillights still work?

It could be something as simple as a license-plate light.

Sorry for not being more clear. Yes it is a 05 honda civic.Yes, it is my front bumper. It didnt damage anything but the bumper and the Washer fluid container. My headlights still work(as do my parking lights) And im fairly sure my taillights still work (ill check when I get home). As I said they worked this morning....Maybe I Blew the fuse by turing them on and off....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif Anyway if you need any more info Ill be glad to help....Thanks for the fast reply

do your wipers still work on high?. If so, it may be the intermittent wiper box. That is if that car has one. Some dont. If not, it may just be a fuse. As for the piece hanging. Post pics but I am pretty sure it is your airbag sensor.

^ I would imaging that something more than just the bumper would need to break to set off the airbag, so perhaps that sensor is a little further in, rather than just behind the cosmetics?

Takes a pretty good whack to set one of those off.

else bodykit installs, etc. would be more complicated.

No my wipers dont work at all...The piece hanging down, looks like it has a spring on it for a pressure sensor, but im not definate on that....It tore that side of my bumper off and that piece was just hanging there so im doubting its the airbag sensor but i dont know....I decided to go ahead and order my body kit instead of getting a new stock bumper......Ill keep you guys updated.....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

"Its all relative!" thanks but that doesnt really help....Could the wire for the wipers have been knocked lose? Could i have blown the fuse by turing them on and off......Any other ideas please let me know

Actually many cars have the bag sensor inside the bumper cover. They need a good head on hit to set em off though. It sounds like he got it in more of the corner.

Yes....I still need to take pictures...Ill post tomorrow(I had soccer practice tonight) but I just caught the corner of my bumper and I think thats why my airbag didnt go off...Once again ill post pics tomorrow...

I dont really know anything about fuses....How would i know if it was blown?.....or could it have just been knocked loose when i hit the hillside?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

The fuses are generally under you dash on the drivers side behind a panel. If you dont know how to check it then just bring it to a garage and ask them to check your fuse for you wipers cuz you dont know where it is.

Thanks for the input guys...I guess ill be taking the car to a shop to check the fuse...Once again thanks for the input....And I still need to put those pics of the sensor up.....
